Scarlett Johansson is a talented actress and singer who is known for her roles in Lost in Translation, Vicky Christina Barcelona, Lucy and many other exciting movies that she has starred or featured in. The actress has ventured into drama, action, comedy and horror genres. Scarlett Johansson has a long list of movies she has appeared in, but to me, the most exciting movies have been those where her role is different from usual roles, for example, Lucy. 

The movie Lucy is exciting mainly because it is one of the most action-packed movies we’ve probably watched in a very long time. The film Lucy stars Scarlett Johansson as a character living everyday life and going to school but soon gets caught up in crime and uses her skills to survive at any cost. 

Another exciting movie is starring this actress differently due to the diversity of her role. Although she was not featured but played a supporting role in Don Jon, she performed the role of girlfriend in this movie. 

The exciting part about her character in Don Jon was that even though she had basic skills and could interact with people daily, she was unable to be in social situations with her boyfriend. Because of his lack of passion and desire that he expressed towards her and other girls he would meet throughout his time with her. Although we all used to find Scarlett as the center of attention in almost all her movies, this was a different role for her and showed an exciting range. 

Marriage movie release in 2019 is an amazing movie with so much ache and depth for both characters. Although it is common for divorce to take sides, this movie shows how there are no right or wrong sides to a divorce, but the only side that exists is the sad side. Scarlett Johansson delivers a very raw performance that almost hurts to watch, but you can’t look away. One of the most exciting movies of 2019 for sure! 

One fantastic movie that many might not remember Scarlett starring in is Island, released in 2005. A sci-fi and action story set in a futuristic time where most individuals hope to be chosen to go to the Island, the last uncontaminated location on Earth. But there is a much darker side to this story. Scarlett Johansson plays one of the main characters in this exciting movie that will have you at the edge of your seat from start to finish.

On a more historical point now, we have the movie The Other Boleyn Girl, a historical drama released back in 2008; this is a story of love triangles and court politics and a tale of lust, intrigue and rivalry. Scarlett plays Mary Boleyn in this exciting movie! This production has been nominated for several awards, including a Golden Globe Nomination for Best Actress ( 2008 ). As the character Mary Boleyn, Scarlett Johansson’s performance was exciting with a certain amount of seductiveness. The film also stars Natalie Portman and Eric Bana. There, Mary Boleyn is forced to watch almost her entire family perish under the king’s rule.

Lost in Translation is perhaps one of Scarlett Johansson’s best movies. This exciting and amazing production won the award for Best Film at both The Golden Globes and The BAFTA Awards as well as a nomination for an Academy Award. Lost in Translation was also ranked one of the best films of the decade by Entertainment Weekly. It forces us to ask if we have ever been in a similar situation or if we would make a different choice if it was us. It also makes us face the fact that so many in this world are not with the person they should be with and settle to not cause others potential pain. Would we be brave and make a different choice? This exciting production features Scarlett Johansson; she plays Charlotte, a woman who feels alone and out of place when her husband is offered a job in Tokyo. She finds solace in the form of Bob Harris (Bill Murray), a washed-up Hollywood movie star, while she is a newlywed. The two develop a connection while in Japan and explore what could be if their circumstances were different. 

Lastly, another oldie but definitely goody in her movie database is, A Good Woman, released in 2004. Scarlett Johansson is the innocent wife of Robert Windermere, whose life is immediately changed when she meets Mrs. Erlynne, played by Helen Hunt. If watched correctly, this is a sad movie as we find a tragic secret regarding Mrs Erlynne and Scarlett Johansson’s character.
